It’s been a busy week! We’ve posted photos of the reunion, but there are others from before the reunion that haven’t been posted yet as well as some post-reunion travel shots. Here’s a run-down …

On our first night, we traveled to Niagra-on-the-Lake, just north of Niagara Falls, Ontario. It’s a great little town where we had dinner outdoors and then enjoyed a stage production of The Women at the George Bernard Shaw Theatre Festival.

We then traveled to Niagara Falls, where we were spending the night. This was Ryan’s first time to see the falls and even though it was dark when we arrived there, we could still appreciate how amazing they really are. The camera on the phone did the best it could in the low-light and mist from the falls …

In the morning it was off to New Jersey for the reunion and if you’ve been following the blog, you’re probably pretty up to date on all of the family reunion activities that occurred there.

On Tuesday, we spent part of the day in New York City. Cully, Terri, and Reese were already in the city, so we met up with them for dinner and an evening in the city. We had some great Napolitano-style pizza in Greenwich Village at a place Cully had recommended to him. Molly and Lexi were able to join us there, too!

After dinner we walked around the village and took the only other photo of the evening …

The city was more interesting than that but the phone battery was dying and that’s the only camera we had on us.

After Greenwich Village, we then walked to Washington Square Park, then over to Little Italy, had some gelato, and the took the subway up to Columbus Circle and walked along the south side of Central Park. From there, we strolled down Broadway to Times Square and took in all the energy there. No matter how many times we’ve visited Times Square, it is always a pretty amazing place to visit.

Today, we left New York early in the morning and started the long drive back to Toronto. Cully and Terri were along for the ride, making the drive fun. They’re in Toronto with us for a few days before heading back to the states. On the way to Toronto, we crossed the border at Niagara Falls again and stopped for a leg stretch and an opportunity to take in the view …

A couple hours later, we were back in Toronto. Tomorrow, July 1st, is Canada Day — Canada’s national holiday — so we’ll take part in some of those festivities, I suppose, and there will probably be photos to show soon. Stay tuned!
