Our ship came in, damnit. It came into port, that is, and we had to disembark this morning and get ready to say goodbye to paradise. We spent our last day at a hotel here on the island of Tahiti. Our flight back to the states doesn’t leave until close to midnight, so instead of hanging around all day with our luggage, we booked a room. We enjoyed resting, gazing out at the amazing view of the island of Moorea from our room, and went down and sat on the beach for awhile and enjoyed some nice tropical breezes.

We just got back from dinner in the hotel’s restaurant built out over the water and we need to get ready to go soon. We’re sad to be leaving, but happy to have had the opportunity to visit.

We were just talking about the fact that we don’t have any big trips planned in the near future. Two big cruises in one year is certainly enough. We’ll look forward to our month away in Vancovuer in July and maybe a trip or two not too far from home before that. If any of you are ever considering a trip to the South Pacific, save a spot in your suitcase for us.
