There aren’t many photos to share from today. It’s at that point in the vacation where we’ve kind of settled into day-to-day life. We stayed around the apartment today some and Ryan went out and did some clothes shopping, finding a strip of outlet stores right here in the city with some great deals.

At around 9pm, though, we ventured out for dinner … and, as usual at that time, we were one of the first parties seated. Saying they eat late here is an understatement. Tonight we tried Don Julio, a restaurant six or so blocks from the apartment, known for its steaks (also, in case you’re interested, the brand name of Ryan’s favorite tequila, but we digress). Yes, beef again! Clint had a bife de lomo (filet) and Ryan had an ojo de bife (rib eye). They were good, but didn’t compare to the beef we had at La Cabrera earlier in the vacation. The restaurant was a fun local joint, though. Here are some pics from the evening.

We were seated in a balcony area over the main restaurant, from which we could see the interesting arrangement of wine bottles on display.

The main seating area, below. As you can see, it was a pretty empty place when we arrived. When we left about 10:30pm, the place was packed.

The beef is a grillin'! Mmm-mm! (Sorry for the blur).

Oops! We forgot to take photos of our salad, our bread, our beef, and our flan for dessert. Well, you can imagine!

Tomorrow, we’re off to another puerta cerrada so we’ll definitely have photos of that to share.
