As I write this post it is 12:46AM on Christmas Day here in Adelaide. We’re finishing up our Christmas Eve Day and reflecting on what a nice day it was. Here’s the recap …

Bagels were torn apart for Molly’s (Clint’s sis) famous bagel stuffing (modified and unique-i-fied over the years by Clint). Teigen got caught in the act sneaking a few bagel bites.

After a few last-minute trips to the grocery store across the street, we made a Christmas Eve meal to enjoy together before Teigen’s Ryan had to go to work. On the menu: grilled rainbow trout, steamed broccoli, and grilled ciabatta bread.

After our meal, it was time to take Ryan to work … but we had a slight delay …

After that was fixed, Aussie Ryan was on his way to work and the remaining three of us relaxed and watched some mindless TV before heading out to a Christmas Eve get-together with Australian friends old and new. We had a great time catching up with people, getting to know others, and enjoying far too many yummy treats (mini mince pies with brandied butter, for example … yummm!).

We returned home just before the clock struck midnight and Christmas Day was here. We just finished filling stockings and putting presents under the tree.

And now, we’re watching How the Grinch Stole Christmas before turning in and calling it a day.

Merry Christmas, everyone!
