In October 2018, we celebrated some milestone birthdays with a week in Mexico City. We found the city to be interesting, but not one we likely need to visit again. The food was incredible and of the sites we visited, the pyramids at Teotihuacan were absolutely the top.

While we didn’t blog there daily (or at all), here’s a brief visual retrospective:

Mexico City’s expanse from the air
The Sun Pyramid at Teotihuacan. Very impressive when first seeing it.
A steep climb to ascend the pyramids

On Ryan’s 50th, we participated in a street food tour.
Street quesadillas made from blue masa
Crickets were on the list of foods we enjoyed on the street food tour.
Crickets not your thing? These churro ice cream sandwiches fromEl Moro Churreria were amazing.
It wasn’t all about food. We enjoyed the historic neighborhoods and architecture.
And when we returned to our room, we always had a breathtaking view to enjoy over Chapultepec Park.
