Our travels through the Pacific Northwest have begun here in Oregon. We flew into Central Oregon first and spent a couple days in Bend. Like we usually feel when we travel, we’ve decided we need to return to that area and enjoy all the great things the region has to offer.

Bend’s restaurants are great. One of our favorites was the Pine Tavern, which also provides a great view of the Deschutes River.
From Bend it was over some rivers and through the woods to grandmother’s place … or at least where Ryan’s late grandparents used to live on the Oregon Coast. Ryan’s parents and his sister, Kathy, and her husband Dean were also traveling to the Coast for a family getaway.

The bridge across the Alsea Bay in Waldport … a familiar sight to Ryan as a kid growing up and visiting his grandparents there.
With a few more days ahead of us here on the coast and an excellent weather forecast, more photos are sure to come. Stay tuned! 🙂
Thanks for posting such great pictures and comments. I always feeel like I am on the trip with you when I look through them. See you soon!
