Days like today make us feel like we’re trying to eat our way through Paris. Who can blame us? The food here is delicious. We’ve started every morning with pastries from the bakery/pastry shop on the street level of our apartment building. Today’s lunch was a typical French picnic of baguette, sliced sausage, cheeses, and grapes … eaten indoors since a little rain spoiled our plans to go back to the Tuileries to eat outside. Then tonight, we boarded Le Calife, a dinner cruise barge, that plied the Seine for two hours while we enjoyed a four course meal of cheeses, foie gras, steak, lamb, and profiteroles, accompanied by an excellent bottle of rosé.
So here is the somewhat embarrassing photo journal from today … that is really all about food.
