Moving day finally arrived!
The moving truck pulled up to the rental we’ve been staying in …
… and after a few hours of loading it, it pulled up at our new house …
… and the unloading began.
As timing would have it, I was sick. Add that on top of the fact that moving is, I believe, my most unfavorite thing to do and, well … I survived. I was even able to whip up our first dinner here after moving in (which, by the look on Clint’s face in this photo, may not have been my best effort).
Since then, we’ve been unpacking, placing items, and experiencing the joys of home ownership again. One of our first “joys” was experiencing a pipe that burst open when tightening a garden hose onto the hose bib. It’s a good thing we had been through the home inspection fairly recently and remembered exactly where to find the main water shut-off valve at the street. As I write this, the plumber is working on repairing it. Nothing like a weekend night call to an emergency plumber. Cha-ching!
