Ronda … this is one magical place. It is one of the places, that definitely will stand out in our minds as we think back over our travels. This is a high city, about 2,000 feet up in the mountains, and also a very old city – dating to about 600 BC. Today, it was also a very cold city … clear, but with very cold winds. C’est la vie (or however the Spanish would say that).

The drive up to Ronda was on a very twisty-turvy road, climbing higher and higher, with erratic drivers trying to pass other cars around curves. But, with Clint’s good defensive driving skills, we made it in one piece. The drive also afforded excellent views back over the Costa del Sol.

Once in Ronda, we explored the old city by foot, enjoyed a delicious lunch there, and took more photos than we ever imaged we would take. Those are below … along with some photos back here on the coast from the end of the day. (Sorry … the photos are a bit out of order … but it’s late and bedtime).

If you ever find yourself in Southern Spain, we definitely recommend a stop here.
