Today was our first full day in Hong Kong. The weather wasn’t perfect – which really is a shame in this city that is so gorgeous when skies are clear – but it didn’t rain, either. We put about 14.5 miles on our feet traipsing all over the city, so we put our first day here to good use.

Ryan has been to Hong Kong once before. Clint has never been. So some of the day’s sights were repeat visits for Ryan. It was interesting to note the differences from my (Ryan’s) visit thirteen years ago. Overall, those changes are positive. The city seem more clean, the bay seems to be significantly more clean, and prices have generally gone up some. Hong Kong isn’t quite the bargain it once was, but there are still good deals to be found … like crossing the bay on Star Ferries for the equivalent of about 30-cents.

We have two more full days here, but here are some images from our first full day …

All of our hotel stay in HK is on points, but on our first night Hyatt upgraded us to a nice suite to celebrate Ryan staying at 50 different Hyatt properties. This was the incredible view from the suite.
