Busy, busy, busy. That’s what life seems to be anymore. We love our getaways and this vacation to Hawai’i is coming just at the right time. So these first few days in Maui have been spent doing a lot of what we’ve needed to recharge our batteries. For Clint: reading, dozing, crosswords, napping, walks. For Ryan: snorkeling, dozing, Facebooking, napping, walks. Okay, it may not be quite to that extreme, but we have been enjoying the down time. In between that, though, we’ve also had a chance to take in a luau (courtesy of Ryan’s parents) and have been enjoying much-needed time together. (And to be honest, Ryan has been sneaking in some work here and there and Clint has been working on the Tacoma condo deal off and on.)

Here are some photos from our first few days here in Maui …

The view from the timeshare we exchanged into in the Kahana area of West Maui

It’s a rocky beach at our condo, but a sandy beach is not far away.

On one of our morning walks, we snapped some photos of the plant life.

Look who has a drink (it’s a virgin one … don’t get all excited).

Properly lei’d and ready for the luau!

Despite the “volcanic smog” from the island of Lanai … seen in the sky behind Ryan, it was still a beautiful evening.

We think there’s a pig under that blanket!

There is! There is a pig under the blanket! A big, juicy, delicious pig!

Just a beautiful setting. Very, very nice.

Ryan had to work off some of that luau grub the next day and went snorkeling here. Nice!
