Our Northwest trip came to an end after we celebrated nine years since our commitment ceremony. We’ve been together 10 years, but 9 “officially.”

We left our hotel in Tacoma on the morning of the 14th. We enjoyed our stay at the Murano and are pleased to see such a nice place seemingly doing so well in downtown.

We then headed up to Seattle where we checked into the Grand Hyatt, the first hotel we ever stayed in after we met. We had a beautiful room overlooking Elliott Bay and views of the Olympic Mountains. Clint had arranged a dinner at Toulouse Petit, a great little French and Creole restaurant at the base of Queen Anne Hill. We had a fantastic dinner and were surprised when the restaurant provided us with an anniversary plate of beignets and coffee dip for dessert. Yum! We wandered along the waterfront as the sun set and had a great evening together.

On the 15th, we flew home to the desert with great memories from a very nice trip to the Northwest. That’s it for our summer travels this year. It was a bit shorter than we typically do, but no less enjoyable.
